I don`t wish to swap shutters, but use a complete "0" mounted lens on
a "#1" board. The hole is too big and merely needs a shim of some
type or a mounting ring that is oversized to tighten down on the
larger board. Thanks, Steve

Does anyone make an adapter ring to mount a "0" shutter on a "1" board? Thanks, Steve.

There is more to life than sharpness...I shoot 35mm through 5x7 and
like them all, for different reasons. If sharpness really is the
goal, there really is nothing like an 8x10 or larger contact print.
There is also the matter of a spectacular tonal range...

I traded one of thier low budget models off years ago and I still see
it drifting from booth to booth...

How many days long will your exposure be?

Thanks all...Iwent with the 135 APO-Sironar-N and a 612 back.
Performance,very good. Convienience,unquestionable. Now if I could
just find a slip on shade that would be adequate...

For those times that I`m in a hurry,{wife, children, foul weather} and
still want to shoot large format, I use a field camera with a lens
that will fold in place with the cable release on it, a 612 rollfilm
back, and optical finder. Leave the camera on the tripod, and you
only need a few seconds to open the camera and slip a lens shade on
and you`re in business...

Don`t get worked up over an occaisional stain, a Scotch-Brite sponge
will make all well again...

Sol, I recently purchased the Horseman finder, and find the accuracy a
bit dubious as it is very sensitive to eye relief. I often use it
with a 612 back, which aggravates the problem. By comparing that image
to the one on the ground glass,I`ve learned where to dial it in for
each of my lenses. I just spent a week in the mountains with it and
it made things much, much better in poor weather shooting.

What kind of differences can I expect to see in a Apo-Ronar 240 and a 240 G-Claron? Thanks, Steve

Any comments about a 270 Tele-Nikkor to be used as a long lens on a field camera for landscapes. Thanks,Steve

Try some ordinary things that can give extrordinary results...APX-25
in Rodinal, Plus-X in ID-11, HP-5 in either one, depending on what
you need it to do. I tend to get better results with greater dilution.

I am looking for a compact lens to fold inside a Horseman FA. Focal lengths 90-210mm. Excellant image quality a must. Anyone out there with expirience with this?
Just bought a 4x5 and could use some help.
