Thank you for the responses, very confusing the way the Nikon manual has it expressed.

Even though it is still pretty hard to see when zoomed up on the back LCD, sharp focus.

As you zoom, the LCD iterpolates not very accurate.

Quick question, the d90 maual page 45 #4 Manual focus in live veiw: use the muti selerctor to choose the focus point for electronic rangefinding.

Whe I am in live veiw and manually focusing,
I don't have the electronic rangefinding led.

Same as others with d90 in live view?

It seems like it is the focus motor trying to make focusing, you see the focus idicator flickering.

Images are in focus

Hi have a question.
I have had my Nikor 70-300 VR for about 2 years, and now notice when I was at an air show with D 90 and the focus setting, Dynamic - Continious focus mode.
I am hearing like very fast clicking even when I have it focus on a large object. It dose not do this on Sigle focus..

Anyone have the same issue?

Hi Evan,

I had no trouble cleaning my sensor on my d90, with Eclipse 2, and Pec pads wrap on Sensor Wand.

Although you can use, regular Eclipse now.

Thank you for the resposes, I thought that is what you could do, just wanted to confirm.

The instruction are pretty clear on the 70-300 VR Nikor on the Manual overide when the lens is set to AF/M.

I was using my Lens the other day, and had my d90 body in AF switched, I moved the selector to M from A/F on the 70-300 VR, it has a little resistance when turning the focus ring I was just trying to make sure I didn't do any damage?

Thanks again!

I have a question, just want to make sure.

If I want to Manually focus my D90 with say a Nikor 70-300 VR11 or 40mm Nikor Micro, dose the AS/M switch on the camera have to be switched to M - while putting the switch from M/A on the lens to M?

Don't want to damaged the camera/ or lens?

I just received my GGS 3rd Generation, fits like a glove and clear.

@Peter, there is like a light felt material on the edges, no problems on yours?

It rest on the edges of the rear lcd on the d90.

Craig:

I think the rear screen on the d90 is plastic, and it scratches easily.

The BM-11 let's dust in.

-

I have had my D90 for 2 years, and put a Camera Armor on for better grip.

That was to help with my big hands.

But I noticed dust under the LCD screen and BM-10 LCD Cover.

I took off the camera armor, and BM-10, and noticed scratches on the sides of the LCD where dust was trapped.

I'm not going to use the Camera Armor anymore, is the BM-10 a bad thing to leave on all the time.

And has anyone used the GGS Optical Protector 3rd Generation, that seals dust out.

Opinions?

I have had my D80 for 5 years now, and when I got it then, it had 2 stuck pixels.
I have let it sit for a while, now using the D90, and keep it for back up.
From ISO 100-320 - just 3 stuck pixels no problem, but from 400- 1600 I get noticable hot pixels from 1 15th of a sec.
Now I know hot pixels are from the heat of the sensor, is there any thing else I can do.

I don't think you can map hot Pixels?

I am using auto focus no live veiw. I am using the middle focus point single afs.
I set it up on a tripod when I first got it to test all the apertures. Then I start with 2.8 - 22, with self timer to prevent blur. After reveiwing, I see some of the 4.5 out of focus, and retest, then in focus - Vis Versa after several repeat routine. Sometimes 2.8 is real sharp, sometimes not.

I am doing this because I might use this lens for portrait, other than that, when it dos focus on auto correctly, it is very sharp. It is just not consistant.
For Macro I would just use Manual, no problem.

I like the look and feel of this lens, kinda bummed though.

I have other Tamron, my 28-75MM 2.8 I tried at the same time with no problem, and on my D90, and D80.

Just may have gotton bite twiceXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I just got a replacement 90mm Macro 2.8 with motor, because of focus inconsistancy.

This one still has a focus issue.

I tested the lens on a tripod, focused about 10 feet away in good lighting on a water jug with writing, and the focus is inconsistant.

I' using the self timer to make sure there is no movement, and even had the same isue with my other Nikon Body, D80, and D90.

Very frustrated.

Any suggestions?
