    Egret

Walking the beach in Nuevo Vallarta, MX at daybreak. I followed this

egret down the beach until it was kissed with a little morning

sunlight causing it to stand out from the background.

    Tiger Portrait II

Handheld shot through bars and a cyclone fence in early morning at a

small zoo in the Paradise Village resort. I used a long lens...got

close to the fence and bars, tigers were on the other side of the

cage, shot wide open and the light from the morning sun was just

    starting to come in...

Thanks for everyones comments! About the rule of 3rds, I felt the reflection was an important part of the image. When I would crop to get the grassline (actually wild rice, btw) at a 3rd it just didn't look right. However, you may notice the placement of the canoe is very near the intersection of a vertical and horizontal 3rd line. Maybe cropping just a tiny bit more off the bottom to bring the boat down in the frame just a bit more would help? I think a higher angle would have been the best bet though.

Colors are pretty accurate (not ps'd in), some saturation was added and levels were adjusted which is pretty standard for my 10D workflow. Thanks for the comments!
