Very striking. I like this very much.

Well, personally I like seeing the ears. If you do a soft focus, maybe it's just a matter of degree. BTW, cute kid!

Hi David,
I like this photo, but think it might be better without the soft focus. The ears seem to be an integral part of the composition but are relegated to the background.

This is really nice. A very striking and bold composition. Very original! On a nitpicking note, I would fix the two white spots, which distract a bit; one at the tip of the reader's finger, and the other where his knuckle meets the book.

Wow. Not sure why I'm jumping in on this discussion. Opinions are really strong. To me, the image is engaging, unusual, and creates a mood right away. It keeps me looking and thinking. I think you did a great job (and gave it 7/7).

Thank you, Carlos!

Ton's cropping is perfect. I really like how the shadows of the dancer and the steps interact with the curves of the "BancoMadrid" sign. It makes for a very playful image!

That's about the funniest critique I've ever read, Jack. And quite apt, too. Great picture, Gordon!

Luis, I like the direction this is taking. I like the guy with the radio, the bike, the steps. It could use a little more focus, though. I'm not sure where to look and keep gravitating to the dancing figure. Take this with a grain of salt, but maybe cropping just around the radio guy, the dancing figure, and the man looking to the right could make a tighter image.

Thanks Catherine and Adam for your comments. I appreciate your time and thoughts. I want to respond to your last comment, Catherine, and your concern about using kids in "strange" pieces. I do tend to gravitate towards the unusual and photograph my two kids quite a bit. However, they are never staged or set up. In this photo, my daughter was simply crawling towards a ball and had an "O" in her mouth from the fridge. Luckily, I had a camera. I have hundreds of pictures where she looks cute and normal, but those aren't anything anyone other than family or friends would be interested in.
