  1. You might try looking at the Giotto 1000...its rated at 22 lbs and costs about $90 to $109 (w/o quick release) on line..add a quick release mount of your choice, and you should be in the $150 range.
  2. I'm looking for a tripod for travel that weighs about 4 lbs or less, folds to about 20 inches or less, is rated at about 10 lbs or so, and costs $200 or less. I've used the Bogen 3001 and its agequate when using my MF SLR and TLR waist level finders, but I find it a bit short then using my Nikons (I'm 6'1"). The Gitzo G201 looks interesting, in that it has a higher weight rating and extends a bit higher, but I can find no information on its maximum height with center column not extended. Does anyone have any experience with the Gitzo as compared the Bogen, or have other suggestions with meet my criteria. Thanks,
  3. I believe conversion would be more trouble than its worth...there is,however, a TTL Chimney meter/finder for the S2A that you can still find for sale complete with black leather case and IB for about $200...I own one and its somewhat awkward to set up and use, but seems to work fine once its set up and adjusted...IMHP purchasing a good hand held meter would be a better investment.
  4. Any Bay 1 filters will work...eBay is a good source for these...try an eBay search for Autocord, Rollei, Yashica, TTL etc...camera case as well as other accessories are also readily available from anyone of several online mail order houses, as well as eBay...Craigs Camera (www.craigscamera.com) is a good source for instruction books..
  5. Anyone have any experience or comments regarding the TTL meter for the Broniica S2A??

    My S2A came with the standard 75mm 2.8 Nikkor-P lens. Based upon feedback and recommendations within this and others I recently purchases a 80mm 2.4 Zen MC. I have had a chance to run much film thru the camera with this lense yet, so have not yet formed a comparative opinion with regard to these lenses. Any experienced opinions or other feedback would be appreciated.

  6. I recently purchased a set of Rollei Bay 1 (28.5) filters for my

    Minolta Autocord, which included a large Rollei leather filter case.

    There were three filters (?) included in the set the function and

    purpose of which is unclear. I would be grateful if someone could

    e-mail me with info. A description of each is given below;

    Rolleiparkeil 1 (?)

    Rolleinar 1 (half of close up set?)

    Rollei-Duto 0 (difuser?)
