Not sure what the fuss is about this particular image. The portfolio overall, however, is as strong as they come; but this shot doesn't fit the bill when viewed along side the other images. But, again, an awesome collection in all.

Thanks again for the comments. Luck was with me, as the clouds broke for a second and the sun came out. The image does suffer here as a jpeg only because of a poor scanner, as I said before. The grain on the negative is sharp, clean, and crisp. It does look like a Floyd cover, now that you mention it. I didnt have that in mind however, I just wanted to get the shot before the clouds turned against me. Which it did moments later... Cheers, all, for the kinds remarks.

Thanks. I did use the polarizer and thought it would make the sky ompliment the sign better. The print is very sharp, my scanner is not very good that's all.

thanks all, for the comments. My scanner does not do justice to the print: the foreground is a hedgerow with a fence across from it, and comes out well in the print. I caught this shot in between a break in a rainshower, when the sun came through for a brief moment. There was no computer manipulation here, and while I would have loved to have a 4x5 field camera with me, I had only the 35mm.

thanks.... 8/10 as in August 10th? You mean during the eclipse on Aug. 11, 1999? I was there actually, but it was very cloudy where I was by the sea. A shame...
