like the concept but it looks like you cut out a picture of the girl and pasted into the image. maybe just the method you used to black out the background around the girl.

beautiful lighting. love the pose.. the only thing i find distracting is the significantly larger catchlight his right eye compared to the other. but thats really just a result of the lighting(which i love)! nicely done!

thanks for the extensive critique. the posing advice is especially helpful. i agree about the border. i was playing in ps :) i do prefer the tones in my original better but i suppose that is personal preference. being a gloomy 35 degree day the outfit was appropriate a bit less bulky than a coat. not an ideal senior shoot and not truly prepared...had to stop for food on the way...but she is happy with results so i suppose thats most important. thanks again. mg

i agree with a closer crop. i love the contrast. Lighting is good and draws focus to the subject. nicely done.
