  1. Hi Ken! I agree with the other commenter about the composition. There is, however, a little too much going on in this image. I love the contrast of the flowers and the sky. The background, though, is distracting. Did you shoot from other vantage points that don't have the modern building so prominent in the background?

  2. Easter is a 6-month-old wild turkey rescued from an opossum attack that cost him a wing. His human companion takes him on many daily adventures with her. We met them outside a national forest ranger station, where he greets visitors. He rides in the passenger seat of her car like any animal companion. Gentle and calm, Easter represents all the positive qualities Benjamin Franklin saw in the bird he wanted to be the official symbol for the United States, instead of the bald eagle. Wild turkeys live about 5 years in the wild and about 10 years in domestic environments.

  3. I adopted Ariel from Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. Bisbee Blue, my kitty who was then about 3 months old, hissed and spit at Ariel at every opportunity. Ariel took it all very calmly. Great Pyrenees are often called gentle giants with good reason. Four days after Ariel came to live with us, Bisbee tentatively explored Ariel's warm fluffiness and decided it was a good thing. They've been best buddies ever since who sleep, play and cuddle together.
