I am using an old 1Ds that recently starting having some very odd battery issues. I would put in a fully charged battery and 10-12 frames into shooting the battery indicator would show a dead or almost dead battery. If I took the battery out and put it back in it would indicate a fully charged battery so I sent the body to Canon.
Canon said they couldn't find anything wrong with the body so I bought new batteries, knowing the ones I was using were a bit old.
I was then able to get off maybe 30-40 shots before the battery went dead. I was refreshing the batteries since this all started, which I have always done every 3-4 charges.
So I bought a new charger. My old one I noticed was saying a "dead" battery was fully charged in about 20 minutes so I figured the charger was at fault, had crapped out and wasn't fully charging the batteries.
This AM with a new battery and a fresh charge from the new charger I got through 110 shots when the battery indicator showed low battery. I took it out, put it back in and the indicator showed a fully charged battery.
I am now refreshing both new batteries.
Anyone have any experience similar to this? Any advice?
