Hello Friends,
I thought I should share the pics of very
interesting Voigtlander pendant issued in 1976.
I found pics of the medal of the same look, this
one is different it have an original "ear" for the
chain.
Does any other Voigtlander medals exist?
Thanks,
Maciek.

Very interesting comparison Mike!
I used both cameras, both have very good lenses.
But I have to say that there is something magical
about my shots from little XA-1...
Photos are so crisp... I had that impression of
looking at the "grainy canvas", the "surface of film"
Grain was very pleasing.
XA-1 Is a very nice camera for a sunny day.

Hi Rajmohan,
Wonderful Photos you have here :)
I'm glad my post inspired someone to pick up this fine camera :)
Lenses are the top notch, I Love Solinar lens in every camera I have!

I bought this camera for my girlfriend few years
ago, of course tried it first ;)
Camera is very simple and limited but when the
light is right (any daylight) camera delivered
wonderful pictures, it was a pleasure to look at
them. I think it's a beauty of a simpler 4-element
lens.
And yes, D Zuiko got 4 elements as the D is the
fourth letter of alphabet, G Zuiko is a 6-element
lens.
Great little camera for a daylight.

Hey Julio, You're the Man!
I opened your link, clicked the 35S model and the
answer is right there!

Now I need to find the accurate scale and weight
my Rolleis ;)
Thanks again!

Hello Friends :)
I have questions regarding. Black versions of
Rollei 35 (Singapore production) :
I've seen same pictures of worn out black Rollei's
with Sonnar, and looks like there were two
versions: Brass and Aluminium/white metal...
What do You know about those variations?
Can we know which top cover is brass by serial
numbers?
Is there any way to check it without scratching
the paint or removing the top deck?
Only weighting Rollei's comes to my mind but
weight may be affected by other elements...
How about Silver (Chrome) versions, are they all
brass?
Thank You,
Maciek Stankiewicz

<p>I was very pleased with Morgan's service. <br />Once I ordered Leatherette for Yashica FX-D. I didn't receive it. Probably it was lost by the post office. <br />I sent an e-mail, explaining that I still didn't receive it and he was kind enough to send it again. <br />Thank You Mr. Sparks. <br />A few weeks ago my friend ordered green leatherette for Leica and have to say it looks gorgeous and the quality is very high.</p><div></div>

<p>What did You expect? <br />The first time I heard about digital Leica and it's price I was thinking the same; "It's just fancy electronic device, quite fragile... it will last 5, maybe 8 years"... ...and was surprised that people don't get it and pay top $$ for it... <br /> It's amazing...<br /><br />Frederick nailed it perfectly...<br /> <a href="/photodb/user?user_id=1461692">Frederick Muller</a> , Dec 29, 2013; 02:15 p.m.<br />"Yes, just think of that $4,000-$5,000 Leica as a disposable camera with with an assumed operating life of X years, after which it becomes a paperweight. Harsh, but kinda true ..."</p>

<p>To be honest; I would sell digital gear and shoot film. <br>
If You change Your mind there will always be a digital camera market with better cameras than mentioned ones...</p>

<p>Myself, I got to have some manual control... <br />Since the Street Photography interest me the most, two fine cameras are my choice:<br /><strong>Rollei 35 SE</strong> and <strong>Yashica Electro GT</strong> (Black). <br />Both are very fine cameras with excellent lenses... <br />Rollei is nice because it's small and all-manual but it's nice to have faster f1.7 lens of Yashica GT. <br /> I love Yashica because of the flash shutter speed that is <strong>1/30</strong> instead of 1/60 or 1/125. - if it's really dark I just switch it to flash mode and got solid 1/30s shutter. With ASA400 film and 1.7 lens I'm safe :)<br /> These are my everyday cameras<br>
For portraits and on Vacation I prefer Minolta SLR (XE) or some old medium format cameras...<br>
I found myself using less and less of AF, P&S, battery-dependent cameras...<br>
Here are some of my snapshots, with various cameras... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/harlemshuffle/">http://www.flickr.com/photos/harlemshuffle/</a><br /> M.S.</p><div></div>

<p>LudvigVan66! <br />I know Your pictures from Flickr! ( Harlemshuffle here ;) )<br />Keep up excellent work!<br />Yep, I had the same impressions (I prefer all-mechanical, all-manual cameras) but shooting with this little rangefinder was a pure joy :) <br /> <br>
