Galveston Island Strand - post Hurricane Ike
-
Galveston Island Strand - one of many closed businesses due to
Hurricane Ike. See album to view more of this series. Only
alteration is the turn to b & w.

I simply loved this piece (and another similar one I posted on the
critique forum) and managed to catch it on display, outdoors, right
after a storm cleared. This is not digitally enhanced (I took it in
front of the artist tent). As a beginner, I'm very proud of these 2
shots. I believe in getting it right straight out of the camera...and
this was my first true success at that.

Bayou City Arts Festival - managed to get this quick shot (and one
other posted for critique) as the rain stopped. No digital
enhancements. This was a lucky shot and I'm particularly proud of it
as one of my first favorites.

Galveston Island Cemetery - Post Ike
I took about 10 shots before I noticed the house in the background.
It was a hazy morning....the sea air was so thick! All my pictures
have a green hue that might need to be removed?? But the house is
green and the air just felt green, if that makes sense, so part of me
wants to keep them this way. The island feels so different after
being covered in water for weeks.....it just seems appropriate. Your
thoughts?

When I look at this picture, I feel her staring back at me.
Critiques always welcomed. This photo with done straight out of the
camera with the exception of sharpening.
