Why don't you just use the blog as your main website? If you used wordpress.org for eg, you can add any other 'pages' and customise all you like.
I use the prophoto blog that you can buy, it makes updating yourself very easy.

It's a little like the Death of the Author argument in books, isn't it?
People who care a lot about knowing just how much an image was altered in photoshop must place more emphasis than most on the skill of the actual photographer and/or how close the photo is to reality.
It's almost like, a photograph is worth more if it was 'harder' to achieve - yet there are plenty of quick snaps/street photography and so on that capture something amazing, but took little effort on the part of the photographer other than the basics.

Try Zenfolio, easy to use and cheaper than smugmug.

I figure if it's a large competition, there would have been thousands and thousands of entries and only a relatively small percentage of those would get commendations unless they are a dodgy competition who commends everyone!
Be happy, it is an achievement :)

Selling online my work.

I have to agree with Sarah that for MOST people, something like smugmug or zenfolio isn't going to sell fine art unless you have a popular blog or web presence that is driving people do it. Most of the general public would not even consider going to them to find a print.
All my random sales have been off Redbubble - which is similar to the others but it has a COMMUNITY. I sincerely doubt most people would get lots of sales, but you do get semi-regular random ones.
So if you're going to choose a site because you want to SELL, I would go with a site that already has a community.
