I have been successfully selling my photography for about 3 years...all scenes of the southwest. Over the past 18 months, I've been asked by three different friends to take family pictures (outdoors). I charged them a flat fee of $75 - $150 for a CD that had anywhere from 30 - 100 images. Two families also bought 3 matted 8x10's and 11x14 photos, @ $30 - $40 each.
Now I have been approached by a couple (that was at a photo exhibit and saw my work) to take pictures of their family reunion this summer. There will be about 28 family members. They want outdoor pictures in about 4 different venues...some being over 25 miles away. They will also want several different group pictures of the different families at the reunion.
My question is...what do I charge? I shoot with an Olympus E-410 and do editing that only involves cropping, lighting, red eye...that's about it. I've been advised to charge a sitting fee and then maybe packages that include a CD, plus prints...or packages that include a CD, plus matted prints. Any advice for where I should start with a fee schedule for this family?
Thanks for any input.

At a recent photo exhibit, I was approached by a couple to take pictures of their family reunion this summer. The group will consist of about 25 people and will be in about 4 different venues, one being about 25 miles away. They will also want pictures of the different families at the reunion, so there will be several groups.
My question is what do I charge? I shoot with an Olympus E-410 and only do simple editing of cropping, lighting, red eye, B&W, Sepia, etc. No changing of backgrounds, merging, etc. It has been suggested that I charge a sitting fee of $100 or more, depending on distance traveled and then maybe have packages that include a CD with prints...or a CD with matted prints.
Sure would appreciate some advice from those of you that have some experience in this area.
