  1. Thanks guys. I agree I probably would rather TTL vs manual. In looking at the

468ii it seems to be TTL and still be under $100. I don't think I'm willing to go with wireless flash on a stand. I live in a

small apartment and having a summer baby I'll have good natural light through out. I think the 468ii would meet my needs.

  2. I rarely use my built in flash as I very rarely take pictures requiring flash. Mostly landscape or night time so tripod mounted. I have a Gary

fong puffer to tone down my built it whenever using it candidly. That being said my question is has anyone used the Yongnuo Yn-560ii as

an on camera flash? I am having a baby in 4 months and would like to have a cheap flash that I can use for bounce and I guess have

more control of. I have a Nikon d70s and have never used hot shoe flash. Any advice on this flash or even lighting infants would be

    grately appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. <p>Hi, I have a Nikon D70s and my max size seems to be 3000x2000pixels. The place I print at shows the recommended file size to make enlargements. At my size the max I can do is 12x16 I think. I have only printed 5x7 and have always had my picture basically cropped.<br>

So is there a way to increase my photo size to print larger whilst not losing quality? and in smaller printing do i need to decrease file size to avoid losing part of my photo?<br>

    Thanks</p>

  4. <p>Hi guys,<br>

So awhile back I tried my first HDR using Photomatix 4 trial version and was hooked. Being on a tight budget I didnt get the full version. I then, through my favourite magazine(Digital Camera World) discovered Photoplus x4. I tried it and it seems similar to the photoshop set up and seemed to be pretty good at editing pictures. It does RAW and HDR but not on the trial. So after downloading the trial version you can upgrade for only $49 reg. $89. Then I got an email bringing it down another $10. So for $39, I got it for Christmas. You also get their panoramic photo stitching software.<br>

Last night I finally tried it out. I shot all in RAW and 3 bracketed exposures. The HDR didnt look good at all so I figured maybe it was me. I then took another series of photos at home in JPEG and compared the two. Photomatix was the clear winner in my eyes.<br>

My question is, has anyone tried HDR with Photomatix 4 and produced something they were happy with? And if so, is it just me? do I really need to work the HDR in Photoplus vs simply a few clicks on Photomatix.Overall I think photoplus seems to be a pretty good value and also pretty good for the editing features. But as for HDR I dont know if i should just get Photomatix pro.</p>

  5. Well I went yesterday and the local camera shop didint end up having a 52mm to 67mm but in looking online, I see they

do make them. So I think from the advice here and what I feel is probably best suited for me now that I'm going to go with

the 67mm ND filters and get the step down ring. The 67mm was my first so I already have some filters as well and have

none for the new lens. Thank you everyone for the input. I didn't even know about step up rings. Thanks again.

  6. So I just got a nikon 35mm f1.8. I wanna get some ND filters for waterfalls and waves mostly. I also have the nikon kit lens 18-70mm. I'm

curious which lens would be best for this. Being different filter sizes I'd like any imput on which I'd get the most bang from. Thanks

  7. Oh I guess I didn't say I have a D70s. I'm in Canada. Where is adorama? I know it's an online store. I've seen the 50

mm for $279 here plus taxes. I saw the 50mm on a store off amazon for 189 plus probably 22 for shipping then duty. Will

the 50mm AF on my D7Os?

  8. So I've got a bday coming up and wanna get some gear. I'm wanted a lens. I have a nikkor 18-70mm and a sigma 80-300or maybe 200

hhaha. I like shooting low light and night. And I wanna get some ND filters for water and whatnot. So I'm either aiming for the nikkor

35mm f/1.8 or now I saw this one(Nikon Tamron AF-D 19-35mm wide angle lens) on craigslist. I like the wide lens. Anyways for what I

like doing and for all around versitily which would be the better lens for me? Or best one to add to my kit?

  9. Giottos MTL9251B Pro Aluminium Tripod With MH5001 Three Way Pan & Tilt Head or the velbon Sherpa 200r. I'm getting a new one for

my birthday and was going to get the velbon but I just saw the giottos on craigslist. Please help me pick. Thanks.

Thanks.

  11. Well I've had a copy of cs3 for a year that my friend gave me. But it's a very limited copy. I can do the basics tho. No

RAW. I have a Nikon D70s. My os is windows vista. I had installed the Nikon software but didn't like it since I had been

using cs4 for the past year.I didn't notice anything for RAW. But I haven't shot RAW since I first got my camera cause I

didn't have anything to work on it with and was new to photography and figured I'd focus on well, practice. Thanks to all

that have give input thus far.

  12. Haha thanks everyone. I think Reid's imput best applies since I'm impulsive. But I have a tripod. ALWAYS use it. I have

very shaky hands. I know what tripod I want. And have a birthday in January which I'll get it. I have Christmas money so

I've been looking on craislist. But I do see that the 35mm is on amazon for like $199. Is that a better investment for like

and extra $120 or so? I just wouldn't mind a good prime lens.
