The image is fabulous, but also the fact that you stood out there during a lightning storm with a metal object attached to a three-legged lightning rod is deserving of appreciation. Well done! -
A very simple and elegant composition. Nice contrast of colors, and balance of composition. This stands out amongst insect shots.

This is a beautiful image, but can this be considered a photograph? The digital age is certainly expanding photographic boundries, so maybe it is. I'm not sure. -
It's a wonderful candid moment, but I agree that it's a little flat. Also, when viewed in "large" size, it loses a lot of sharpness, so I'm wondering if the original was sharp. What really strikes me as odd is, why crop 35mm down to a square? My eye sort of want's a little more foreground so I can naturally follow it up to the main focal point.
