Yes, you are right! That bin is not so nice there... But the trees are really great! I've made a print of it, and it looks like a copper engraving, very interesting!

Thank you for your words! For me this picture is interesting because of the light and shadow contrast: where the leaves are light, the background is a little bit dark; where the leaves are dark, the background is lighter. It was a good moment :-)

In my opinion this is an expressive photo. The contrast is not on the face (not to speak about the eyes!), instead it is on the pigtail and on the cloth. This is a mistake in the strict photographic school. But on this photo it produces a special atmosphere, and this is more important than the school.

Thank you for your comment. It was a really "gray" day, contrast was very law. Somehow I like this in some circumstances.

I like the gradation of B&W; composition is interesting. I think the right bottom side of the picture somehow not well finished (from the aspect of composition).

The subject selection is good. I suggest you to use more longer focal length lens and greater aperture value for achieving a more blurred background. Than the main subject can be emphasized more strongly.

Your portrait subject is really very nice. I think this would be a great, expressive portrait. If you allow me a critique: the background is burnt out on the upper side of the picture. If you are familiar with PS, it could be corrected somehow. Then this would be an excellent picture.
