Sandra, I think you have suceeded in emphasizing the incoming weather. I rather enjoy the shot. However, since you said you were going for a "deserted beach" and "alone" feeling, I'm not getting that due to the nicely manicured lawn and trimmed bush on the right. Reminds me of a resort beach in which everyone has gone in for cocktails. Howerver that's only my opinion.

Sandra - Thanks for the input!

I have two points where I would like your opinions on:
1) Would you have handled the exposure differently, or are the blown-
out highlights in the window acceptable?
2) With the focus point in the middle of the field, do you find the out of
focus foreground distracting, or does it work to pull you into the shot? I
can't decide this one.

I wanted to get opinions as to how this was cropped. Looking at it, I
feel as though it may be a bit close, but unfortunately this is the un-
cropped original. All comments welcome!

the use of the simple black frame really fits this capture. Nice tones.

She (I'm guessing) is staring with such intensity! Eagerly awaiting her master's command (on how to solve the world's problems). Her intesity contrasts with the light playfulness of this photo. I like it! Maybe ease up on the cropping a bit?

I like the mood that is portrayed, almost foreboding in a sense. I also like the fact that you can still make out the reflection in the water. My only suggestion would be to crop the top a bit. I find the gray a bit distracting, eliminating some of it up top would bring more focus to the boat.

The joining of two of my hobbies: food and photography. Unfortunately, I
have a lot more experience in food than in photography, so any critique
would be appreciated, especially from a food photographer's viewpoint.

This caught my eye! The background works well, however I think that if the light was coming in from the side, it would push this photo even further! Looks kind of like a death-egg. Cheers!
