  1. I can't agree with the previous post. I think this is a good solid infrared offering. In my view there is a place for symmetrical images and this is a good example. The symmetry focuses attention on the key element of the image. The use of infrared lifts the image from what would probably have been a somewhat mundane shot otherwise. Often these things are a matter of taste but I don't see how this could have been improved. I find it a generally satisfying shot.

    I love infrared on film. Until now, I have been left slightly unimpressed by the digital equivalent. Digital infrared seemed to be almost there, but not quite. This is the first digital infrared which rang all the bells for me. As far as the sky is concerned, I think it has to look that way to make the most of the rest of the scene. I accept that it looks digitised and unnatural, but as infrared is an unnatural medium, I don't see that as a great problem. I can't think of a different way the sky could be presented without detracting from the image.
