What kind of screen are you using, LCD, laptop, crt, I also have the spyder 3, but only had problems with my laptop, from what I've read the Spyder3Express puck is good, it's just the software
that's far too generic. If you can get your hands on basICColor Display 5,
you'll instantly see the difference and your monitor will look amazing once
calibrated (whites will be white again). You can either go legit and download
the 14-day trial from the website, or just buy it.....

I also agree with Mel, using Smart Objects for my work flow is the only way to go, I always need to go back and make changes....

-

Also just check the feather, this can some times give you a splotchy effect has well....

-

Thats good news Lynn, you don't need to back-up, your per-sets are stalled in C drive.....

-

Hi Lynn I would just re-install it...not to sure where its gone, may have removed more than it should have, I have all NKS soft wear plugins and can't live with out them, so good luck.

(My 7D shutter/mirror zap Is a lot softer than my 5D2. But, duh, the 5D is FF and there should be more noise due to the much larger mirror and shutter curtains). That is the answer you are looking for from Puppy Face.... My 50d feels a bit like a toy next to my 5dll but still takes great photos.

There are a few ways to do it, I would use the liquify for the love handles, thats in filters, and for the stretch marks you could use the patch tool or the healing brush tool they are good for this kind of work... you can also try you-tube as well, hope this helps you Lana.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsiQptl_Y9E&feature=fvsr

Bill I used cs5 and a soft brush at about 82px but you will have to very your brush size a bit, mode was set to replace and hardness at about 35% spacing is at 2% it is not set to content-aware its good but not that good, I hope this helps you bill.

I also agree with Dan. the 550d is a great body check out some photo.net images of the 550d in tag you will be quiet suprised...focs on good glass and getting some experience then look at an up grade, good luck with it....

-

Also reset the camera to its default settings and check your firmware, may need to reload it...but you will have to post some EXIF data good luck with it....

-

I am with Eric, get a good body and stick with it, and good lens's will always be good lens, I hope to have my 5D ll and my L glass for the next ten years well thats the plan....

Good work, I can see a difference immediately also, thanks...

-

YES.... thats a good idea Josh.

-

I believe Matt nailed it too, It's just a slight perspective difference, you need to shoot your new version at a more shallow angle, a more oblique angle will also increase the DOF required, good luck with it.

Steve, I'm with Karen, the 50mm 1.4 is a great portrait Len, very sharp and has very nice bokeh, I use it with a crop and F/F camera, and it is a very versatile lens for about $320..

-

Yes Andy, I would get this lens, I love it from f/2 on, and I shoot with F/F and APS-C the Bokeh is just beautiful for only $300, you can't go to wrong. http://www.digitalrev.com/en/battle-of-the-fast-50mms-canon-f1-dot-8-vs-f1-dot-4-vs-f1-dot-2-7230-article.html

I' am manual...always....

Not the ISO wheel but the opposite side to that, will adjust your Exposure compensation in 1/3 stop increments in the range of -2 to + 2. now the wheel on the back will do a lot of things, but you need to set the mode dial to M to adjust aperture & shutter at the same time if you go to page 102 in your book it will give you the rundown on this, I hope this helps.

-

Like Bill, my recommendation for you is the G12, I have the G11 and love to shoot in Raw still, great IQ for a P/S.

-

Hi' I also have the G11, what mode are you in M,AV, or TV, the wheel thing on the top left will let you chang the aptr and the big wheel on the back of the body will chang your shtr-spd, but keep an eye on your zoom length...

Well thats great for you Keith, but what about the not so good shooters, how will they get a long with the 7D....

-

I' don't think that this is very fear to put a F/F up against a cropped sensor, they are both great cameras in there own right, 7D vs D300s or 5D ll vs D700 is more realistic to me, but it makes for a good read, but serious if you can keep the 40D, then I would get the 5Dll and have the best of both wolds.... PS I have used all three, but now I use 50D and the 5Dll, Good luck with your decision Zvia...
