<p>It will definetly make shooting in portrait mode easier with the smaller bodied 400d. I have had one for the past year and only recently sold it. I seem to remember the manual saying that only 2 of the NB-2LH (high powered) batteries could be used in the grip. If you do decide to get another battery i would recommend getting one as the battery life is increased with the pair of batteries.</p>
