1.
Patrick, I'm pretty happy with the shot, it makes me smile!
Your beach shot is like a postcard, and judging by your other pics, I'm sure you'll do great for the new parents!
Bob, I love the silhouette, very appealing, now I want to drive around and try it!
Robert, that baseball shot rocks!

 2.
This one is a pretty amazing photo to me.
I was invited in to the birth of a friends first child. Oscar is 40 minutes old here, and to me, the look on his face is close enough to his first smile :-)
It's not a spectacular bridge, and I didn't catch the dark side of the moon, but it's always going to be a special shot to me now!
Great photos everyone. I particularly love the cheeky bum shot Javier! I've never even attempted photography like that!

00WWKt-246317584.jpg.b9d120533470da89098ebcd968599692.jpg

 3.
Hi everyone,
I usually photograph people. Pregnancy, newborns, children, baptisms, engagements, weddings, etc.

I have been approached by a friend of a friend of a friend about some ongoing work for a construction company. She works for a company that is about to launch their website. They work in conjunction with another construction company that has a regular photographer that is unavailable for several months, and they require a finished product within weeks I believe.
The images will definitely be used on their upcoming website, and they may wish to use them on promotional literature I would assume.

The girl who has contacted me has told me that she has viewed my website, and knows that I have no experience in the images that she requires. She also knows that I have a very young family, and is happy to work around my children's needs. She also is uninterested in shopping around and has told me that the lowest price is not an issue, consistency and reliability are. Despite all this, she has told me she is willing to give me a go.

I own Pentax equipment, K10D, K20D, 540 flash, Pentax 16-50 f2.8, 50-135 f2.8, Sigma 10-20, Sigma 30 1.4, tripods, various older lenses and bodies.

I have told her that I believe I am equipped for what she probably requires. This is externals of properties both during the day and at night, and internals of the properties during the day. I will predominantly be photographing what I guess are show homes at this stage. Neat, tidy, uncluttered and well presented.

I am hoping to get feedback from people with experience in work like this, and anyone that wishes to put thier kind 2c in :-)
Am I equipped?
Do you have any advice? Camera settings to use? (I'm not used to my subjects standing still :-P )
Pricing? Any thoughts? Properties are scattered across the city, with typical travelling distances of perhaps 40 or 50kms per job.

I am sure that there is more information and questions that I should post, but will present them as I get feedback and think of them.

Thank you all so much in advance for the amazing help that I know you will all provide :-)
xoxo
Rebecca

 4.
I love all of the flower shots, the final wood bit shot, and those waterfalls are amazing :-) But my favourite is the ladybug on the flower!

Peter the image is reflected off a black Camaro - the boys wedding car. They were standing there just discussing horsepower and other boring things :-) I saw the reflection and thought it would make an interesting shot!

Thanks for your nice comments people, it gives me much needed confidence to post again!

 5.
OK
Try again :-)
My first POTW post. Just a grab shot, but I'm happy with how it turned out! The bride was thrilled, so that's the main thing!
K20D, 16-50 2.8

00WGRe-237353584.thumb.jpg.d81d25c0bf42facfd9e2abfbab65c8f0.jpg

 7.
Everyone that responded about being different, making your own style, did you ever stop to consider that perhaps Benjamin is simply trying to recreate an effect in an effort to learn about it?
Reverse engineering other photographers images is a fantastic way to learn processing techniques. And if he does want to copy and use the effect, who cares? If it gets him work and his clients like it, then excellent, one more happy photographer earning a dollar!
By the way Benjamin, thanks for asking, I am sure that there are plenty of newbies too scared to ask these sorts of questions, that read posts like this and learn a lot without yet dipping their toe in to forum participation and opening themselves up to criticism.
Great reply by the way Richard - I am sure it is exactly the type of reply that Benjamin was hoping for :-)

 8.
Just a couple of small things Christophe,
I could be wrong, but I couldn't find anywhere on your site where it reveals your location. People viewing photographers sites are generally interested in where the photographer is located, especially if they wish to hire them!
Also, someone randomly stumbling across your site would not know if you were male or female. On your Bio page you say it's you in the photo with your partner, which means either person in the photo could be you. I would maybe suggest signing your name somewhere so people know who they may be contacting.
Not big deals, just my 2c worth :-)

 9.
Thank you all very much for your comments. I appreciate the time you have all taken.
I agree with comments about it being too tilted. I was laying on the floor a bit awkwardly, and working quickly, and I guess I should have taken a little more time composing, but you take what you can get with a moving baby. And it was JPEG, but it is a good lesson to start shooting RAW.
And Otto, I should have said that the twin session was postponed, not cancelled! It did go ahead, and being my first time photographing twins, it was VERY challenging!
Thank you again
10.
Hi everyone
This is my first post, and am interested in how other members do things.

I had a newborn twin session cancel last minute yesterday, so filled in my morning doing a follow up session for a friends 8 1/2 month old daughter.
I was very pleased with the images from the session, but particularly so with this one. I have cropped the image, lightened it with curves, and boosted the colour in her lips.

I am interested in what other people would do with this image, and how they would do what the would do it.
I look forward to and welcome all responses and suggestion.

Thank you in advance for all replies.
Regards,

00Uaoy-175955784.jpg.e02c96d740bc8c6d03d0d903616e3e83.jpg
