Given the general 'hassle' of showing steam and the limited time one has to do so it would perhaps be easier to produce a series of steam 'only' shots and then save them and layer them in Photoshop. I may try this and see how it goes.
A D200 body is about £600 in UK still.
maybe Thailand via www.alibaba is an option?! Apparently the Nikns are made in Thailand-not China.
Appreciate the comments and good sense spoken

Thanks for that.
I would like another D200 for my son
Who are B&H? Do they have a website.
A D200 body here is about £600. This is about $900
I take on board what you say about additional costst but think it may still be a lot cheaper.

Given that we pay the same in £'s for your cameras eg double the amount does anyone know of a US store that will
ship to UK, so saving me some cash?!
Best portait lens for Canon 5D Mark II

I am a pro photographer in Uk and my advice is quite simply 'don't get bogged down' with lenses.
The best prortrait range is 100-200, depending on how far you want to be-or space allows you to be-from the person/subject. My own favourite is a Nikon 105mm f2.5. It is crystal sharp, feels like gold in the hand and has earnt me a lot of money! Alos Nikon 180mm f2.8 is a gem, but maybe too long for 'general' studio shoting, though outside in the open its a superb lens. These are the best Nikon lenses.
In summary though its how you shoot-compose, understand light and your ability to draw the best from your subject, that really matters. Good luck
