Hey guys! I'm just starting out on the business aspect of wedding photography and am quickly developing an extensive paper trail and a lot of emails! Is there a software that you guys would recommend that would keep it all organized? I work on a Mac, so any suggestions for that platform would be helpful (although suggestions for PC would help others as well, I'm sure.) Thanks!!

That's a great idea, and a great gift!!

What products do you offer to your bride and groom after the wedding in addition to prints?

Thank you guys!!
My first rule will be "Let her speak..." :) But these are some great questions to get her started. I just found out she is taking me to the venue the same day, so that is awesome! I am sure I will have more questions when we get to the venue.

I am going to meet for the first time with a bride, and thought I would get some suggestions on questions to ask
the bride and groom when you first meet with them.

So far, all I know is that the wedding is being held in Fairfax in September. I have a lot of info collectin' to
do.

I am just about to start shooting as an assistant to a few weddings....so I am a definitely Newb to the wedding
industry. I have been reading a few books and of course the forums...but I haven't really found a solid answer
to this question. So, I put it to my fellow photogs.
About how many weddings do you shoot a year and what price bracket do you normally cater to?

Thank you so much guys! You have given me a lot to think on and some great advice! I'll keep checking back for
more while I debate.

I have a $1500 spending limit. What camera do you guys recommend. As professional as it comes. I am hoping to
stick to Canon, as that is what I have spent the last 7 years using......but suggest what you think is most
professional. I have been using the Rebel 300D for the last six or seven years, and from what I
understand...that is now considered an amateurs camera (and an antique...lol).
So, I guess I am looking for something for a professional....which I am now officially calling myself. :)
Thanks guys!

MPIX.com are genius. Their product is gorgeous and they are fast. I've been ordering from them for years and have never had any issues.

I have been a professional photographer for almost 7 years in the fashion industry, but am looking to jump into
weddings. I would love to have the opportunity to work with a more experienced photographer on a wedding shoot.
I am a great student and will take all of the advice you will give...but I certainly pull my weight. I will
carry bags,
be a go-for, and (if you'll let me) a second shooter. I am advanced in lighting and camera equipment, although I
work primarily in digital.
Be sure to check out my portfolio page and my website for even more of my work.
I would be more than happy to meet with you in advance to determine if I might be a good addition to the job you
have in mind.
I look forward to meeting and working with you!
