1.
Hi.
Iam wondering if you guys are focusing with same situation: for example when you are using internal flash with lens VR on and when take the photo the VR turns off imediately even if you are still holding the shutter release button half pressed. This is not happenig with external flash.
Thanks for help, Luka

  2.
I asked that coz I think that have accidentally left camera sitting with live view on, and after several hours I saw that camera is in standby mode. So wasn't sure what happens if you left live view on for multiple minutes according to sensor getting hot? But on internet I can't find anything related to sensor being fried in live view mode.
Luka

  3. When shooting video with lens which nas an aperture ring or in live view the

camera seems to meters normally coz if you changing the ring the exposure

compesates immediately. So I have figured that you can shoot videos or doing live

view with an aperture ring, but what bothers me is that when I set the lovest F in

camera and go in to live view the actual F isn't that what I choosed in camera but is

    f11 (sigma 105mm f2.8).

And I have discovered one other thing too, so if I set the F number for example at f8

and then I press the aperture preview button and if Iam looking from the other side

in the lens aperture and rotating the aperture ring while holding the preview button I

can see that that at f8 choosen by aperture ring is quite moore open than choosen

by camera, that matters for all f numbers not only for f8, but if I make the test shots

within all f numbers and exposure compensation to 0 all of the shots are fine.

    Thanks, luka

  4.
Hi, I was playing with live view and aperture ring with my d90 and sigma 105mmm f2.8. I understand that the camera won't comunicate with lens aperture ring at other setting than f32.
So I thought that if I go in to manual or A mode and set the maximum F number with camera and when going in live view I tought that the aperture would be at actual F number written on the camera screen, but isnt: example I set he camera at F 32 then go in to live view and start to turning aperture ring and the actual aperture is at F 11 and not F32 as stated in the camera. What is the reason that the camera won't close the aperture at maximum F number? Coz if Iam stepping from F11 down everything is like it should be. And I have fiugured that the lowest actual F number in live view depends on lens attached.
I was thinking that maybe the reason could be that the camera limit lowest F number coz of too much light loss-
Can someone help me, thanks Luka

  5.
Hi I just wanted to try the d90 AF dynamic area and I can't get it working. As I read in the manual the af points at AF-C should follow the subject if starts to moving, but the selected point just focus on the background if subject leaves, it does not follow it like in 3d tracking mode. Is that normal or I just can't get it working. Help please.
Thanks, Luka

  6.
Hi I have just got new dslr with external flash and cos Iam novice and had flash set to manual at full power while making photos at slow shutter speed the picture came way overexposed almost white, can this do any harm to sensor? the shutter speed was 1/60, f3,5 and external flash on manual at 1/1 power. do I need to worry about?.
Thanks,

  7.
Hello
I have nikon d90 and the camera was in well padded bag and had objective on 16-85mm vr.
Soo, the bag fgall off from about 40cm, almost nothing and from now on the viewfinder is not working anymore. Does anybody majbe know how to change that thing. Oeven where I can order that displa, Iam from Slovenia.
8.
Jeah is way normall that 5d is better for indor photography because it has larger sensor and that means it has smaler pixel density. Try to shoot in raw and make a little pos process with noise and sharpness and you will be statisfied with yours photos to. But remember that full frame cameras are from allways better in low light that dx cameras.
Or use smaller iso and try with flash.
I think that you don't need a d700 yet, first you need to learn basics with you current camera and when you will be more experienced you can afford better camera, because if the photos are for example diffrent colors between d80 and 5d that don't mean if you would have d700 will be better, it's the best that you read some book about basics of photography to learn what are color spaces and color controls and aperture and shutter and iso and how to work with flash and about polarization filters and rae formats, when it is the best to post process and such things. SO when you will understand all that things you will be able to get even better photos than you sister with 5d.

  9.
Interesting, but I have the same expirience, I have bought used 70-300mm VR and when I got home I have notice this issue, I called to nikon service and they said that they can fix it but not under warranty because it has expired, so I send an e-mail to germany where the lens was bought(there in that store they gawe two years warranty) but no response. So I think I will need to live with that.
I was looking here on Slovenian forums, but no one has this problem, so I have thought that only I have got broken copy(but sharppnes is superb), but as I see here this may be rutine;) Now Iam much more relax.
Bye, Luka

  10.
Yes i have made switch from 18-200mm to 16-85mm and I must say that Iam very happy with it, most of the time I wasn't so satisfied with 18-200mm corner sharpnes and distortion and even resolution, but now with 16-85mm everything is much different, the lens is superb sharp and I must say that I have never had so sharp lens, exept sigma 105mm. You can't fail with 16-85mm choose.
So much details, I have almost forgot what details are until I got the nikkor 16-85mm, go for it you wouldn't regret.
Regards, Luka

  11.
Yes I know, something like that would never happen, because Iam taking care for such things, but that man who sell me that sigma obviously didn't watch out for such things and the plastic from rear lens cap has pilled off a little and that pieces of plastic stayed on the mount of the lens and when I was trying that lens a little plastic fell in the camera, but I think I have cleaned all, at least that I can see with my naked eye and as well I have cleaned the mount on the lens, but Iam still a little afraid if accidentally some particle had stay inside( but I think it's not big) and something happen to shutter?
Thanks for your answers, bye, Luka

  12.
No don't keep it at all and also don't exchange it for something else because is very good lens.
So just take it to service and tell them to calibrate it or if is possible exchange it for another copy.
Bacause that with front focus it's not such a big deal and I think the service will calibrate it in about one day if they don't have a lot of work.
Bye, Luka

  13.
Hi I just bought one used lens, and try it and everything was fine, but when I got home I took the lens off and I saw a lot of peeled plastic pieces in the camer, so that plastic was from the cap which you screw on the lens when you take it off the camera. It was a lot of that plastic on the lens metal mount(It's clear that plastic cap and metal mount can't fit right, because the metal cuts plastic) and on the mount of the camera. So I have spend an hour to clean that and with my eyes I can't see no plastic now. That happened to me second time when I bought used lens, both time the lens had plastic(from cap) on the mount, but I cleaned as good as I could. So Iam asking you if anyone of you have had the same issue with this lens mount caps and if it's possible to damage anything inside the camera.
I hope that you understand what I wrote, because english isn't my language.
Bye;)

  14. Hi. First I must say that my english isn't so good so I'm sorry for mistakes(coming from Slovenia). thanks

Maybe this question is a little silly, but anyway: am wondering if you can damage sensor with overexposed photos

like bracketing, when I make in sesion -2,0,+2 so that means the last photo in bright part is way overexposed(you

can barely see anything). In users manual I didn't find nothing about this, just that I musn't taking pictures of the sun,

so Iam hopeing that kind of photography isn't dangerous to cmos sensor, but anyway Iam asking you to tell me if

    I'am right???

    Thank you, Luka
