1.
Thanks Mark, for the response. Glad to hear that the film will turn out ok.

Paul: Yes, i've read the manual, and seem to be doing everything properly.
Human error is always a problem when someone first gets hold of a new camera, however this time, i don't think it's my fault.
Why is the red indicator always showing? It doesn't recede back at any time during usage.
Also, the locking of the advance lever is intermittent, it happens randomly. Sometimes, it advances properly, sometimes it gets stuck, and when it does, i use the fire override lever to advance the film.

 2.
Martin: So by me using it to get past my stuck advance lever, and continue shooting, do you think it should be ok? what i mean is, the photos i took should be ok, right?

Paul: thank you for all of that information!
the little lever i was talking about wasnt the multi-exposure lever. it was the finish roll lever Martin pointed out.
i think you're correct however, it could be an incompatibility, or that it's just buggered. i'm going to find an old camera store to sort it out tomorrow.

thank you for your help!
if anyone else has any ideas, please feel free to reply!

 3.
Hello!

I looked around extensively for a solution to this problem, and haven't found any, so I've decided to ask.
I've even looked through the manual, and don't have a clear idea of what might be happening.

I recently bought a RB67 Pro-S, and on my second roll through it, the film advance started acting up.

the when i advance the film to the next frame, the red indicator appears immediately, without actuating the shutter.
however, i am still able to do so right after advancing the film.
once i take a photo, and go to advance the film, the lever is stuck.
the solution i found was to press and hold the tiny lever with an arrow on it on the film back itself. holding this back would allow me to advance the film and keep shooting.

the manual doesn't specify what this lever is.

does anyone have any idea as to what the problem could be?

thanks for any and all replies.
if you need more information, feel free to ask :D

 4.
TOTALLY agree with Shun here... I have never hit that lever by accident in my whole time using a camera that has it.

I just hope you don't hold the camera like 'photographers' do in movies or tv shows... those are always hilarious.

or like this... these are wrong.
