1.
Hi Sally, You've been given a great deal of excellent advice from the above posters. I would only add that if you are going to get very involved in macro photography then consider the aforementioned oly 60mm f2.8. It's quite good and you can even get one used for under 400. If it's going to be an occasional thing then pick one of the alternatives. Best of luck.
2.
Referring to image #2. Thats a very nice shot Elliot. The clarity and detail of the boys face is very good. I like the flute being blurred. I just recieved my od em1 and have the lumix 20mm already so I'm looking forward towards the possibilities. Again, a very nice image........Holger

 3.
I think for travel purposes having a telephoto zoom like the 14-140 already mentioned is a must. That with the 20mm and a longer 45, 60 or 75 would give you overall coverage and the speed for low light shots. Since you don't have in-body stabilization as in the Olympus bodies you will be looking at Panasonic stabilized lenses. Enjoy your trip.

 4.
Now that the panasonic g3 has been on the market for a while I was hoping to get some feedback/opinions about it. I have the G1 and was thinking about an upgrade. All answers and advice are much appreciated.

 5.
If you look at the imaging-resource.com site they have a hands on review and show some samples and comparisons. Based only on what I saw there it looks like a good step forward in imaging quality not just pixel count. There where however some ergonomic drawbacks according to the author of the article.

 6.
Well I suppose it also depends on your budget. I think I would go with 14-45, 45-200 and definitley the 20mm for low light situations. I am slowly becoming aware of the ISO issues with the GF1 and the two zooms are not fast lenses so make sure you have something to cover those situations. I myself am waiting for the 100-300 so I can't comment on it yet. Have a great trip and post your photos when you return. Take care.

 7.
I previously had the tamron 17-50 non IS it was and is an excellent lens but seriously can't compare to the canon 17-55 IS. Granted it is twice the price but I believe the question was 17-55 or 24-70 in which case I still vote for the 17-55 especially for the 60D. Just my two-cents.

 8.
As great a temptation as it maybe to get the 7D I too say the lens comes first. The speed and reach of that lens is a bigger difference maker than an upgrade of any camera body. Some may suggest a tele-converter for your 85mm f1.8 but you will sacrifice a stop and still not have the zoom ability which is real nice in a gym setting. Hope this helps.

 9.
I have the Pany G1 and while I like it I'm not in love with their 45-200 lens. I was wondering about the recently introduced 100-300 and if anybody out their has it and their true feelings about its performance. Also I'm open to other lenses that you think would work well with the G1. Thanks for your time.
