You're portfolio is OUTSTANDING!!!! I can't see how one of the previous posters claims that your pics are just "on the nice side". This shot however is a little ordinary for you. It's nice, but it doesn't make me go WOW like so many of your other images. You rule!

The shot of the butterfly itself is outstanding!!! One of the best I've seen. I would crop it tighter though. The white and pink flowers really draw my eye away from the main subject.

No photoshop work done here. I just took the shot as is from my D30 and put it up. Some of the other jelly fish I took shots of didn't quite have the color that these two had, I just got lucky with the light illuminating them right.
BTW, thanks for the kudos Fred!!!

Great shot, but at first glance it looks like the wolf is missing a leg!

One thing that stands out to me is the cats ear is partially cut off.
I also think the image would be stronger if you panned down slightly to get a little more of Johnny's eyes.

I think the image would be stronger if you lowered your camera a little closer to the frogs level. Here you can hardly see the frogs eyes, and it looks like it's missing a leg. The lighting looks a little too strong for my taste as well, I think if you used something to difuse some of the light that may have improved the image as well.

The soft green background is good, but the image overall looks a little soft. A little dark as well, although I'm not sure if that's the image itself, or the scan. If it is the image, I think it would have been better if you used a fill flash to add a little catch light to the birds eye. The branch it's standing on is a little distracting as well, it's a little too thick.

I like the profile shot of the heron, but I do find the background a little distracting. Particularly the bright upper third of the shot and the white line that looks like it hangs down from the birds beak.
