I have a decent job but I don't have a nice car or apartment, saving my money to buy lenses. Picture will be available after I come back from vacation.

I'm trying to get 1Ds III, the price has gone down a lot, $3500-$3900 for like 6K-10K shots. 200 f/2 IS is a fine fine fine lens probably the sharpest lens in Canon's line up.

Ummmmmmm...OK.

Oh yeah not everybody is willing to lug 500mm f/4 ...certainly not me. 85mm f/1.2 is nice but don't think I can justify the price for my use. Sigma 50 f/1.4 lowly ?..hmmmm...think again. I like my 50L but that Sigma is pretty darn good. Talking about macro lens sure I had 100mm macro twice sold them twice. I'm sure you didn't read my post that I'm not into macro did you ? :).

Thanks for your inputs.
Yes I'm a L-holic :).
I force myself to use these lenses whenever I can since they're all my harems :). I like them all, the primes produces beautiful bokeh...sooooo dreammyyyyy. The Sigma is also very good.
I have lighting equipments (flashes, softboxes, umbrellas, etc) already and not much into macro work.
Sometimes at night I go and stare at my lenses...for a long time...wow they're soooo beautifullll :-).
I'm still itchy to get 200L f/2 IS or 300 f/2.8 IS although the earlier is what I'm dreaming of :-).
I just saw the 24mm TSE II wowwwww...what a lens...drooling....
As far as 85L I've thought of getting it but it focuses so slow...I use the f/1.8 for indoor events or sports.
The Tokina is very sharp very nice lens for my 7D only.
I can only sell 18-135mm and will probably replace it with 24-105L :-).
Looks like Canon is going to deliver 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II soon...yummyyyy...
Yeah I wrote down 35L twice but I really don't mind having two copies.

I have an issue of lens addiction. I have these lenses so far which I like them ALL :)
17-40,
Sigma 50,
35L,
50L,
85 f/1.8,
135L,
300L f/4 IS,
70-200 f/4 IS,
24-70, 35L,
24L II,
Tokina 11-16,
18-135mm.
I shoot portrait, landscape, sports, etc so almost all :). I have a 7D and 5D II. I'm planning to get rid of 5D II since I like my 7D so much.
What would be a better lens setup without too much overlapping ?.
Thanks!
John

Get a 7D, 5D can't focus :). Who cares about IQ if it can't focus well.

-

Nikon colors and tones are weird.

-

Get a 7D now...it's one heck of a camera!.

-

For me the AF selections are very intuitive..spend some time outdoor and learn their behaviours.

-

Having own the 7D and other xxD cameras, definitely 7D is at different class. Image quality is similar compare to previous bodies and that's fine for me but..the AF is way superior. It gives me critical shots that I need. It's truly the most fun Canon camera I've ever had.

-

Yeah 7D high ISOs are pretty impressive...the chroma noise is pretty even so it's also easy to clean using 3rd party NR.

-

What banding ? I see none.

-

No need for review..just try it yourself...you'll be amazed. The AF is very impressive, I'm not worried of getting OOF ever again. Make sure you read the manual, since the modes are very different than the older rebel models. High ISO is pretty impressive, I can shoot ISO3200 easily..no fear.

Imagine your camera has this kind of capability....do you need flash at all ? :-).

To Scott

On 7D ISO 3200 is very usable. If you want to compare with a smaller MP camera like 40D, you have to resize it to the 40D MP size. Compare to 50D 7D is superior. Banding is pretty much shown on 50D but not on 7D. The noise on 7D is very even so it's also very easy to clean it with something like Noise Ninja or Nik Dfine 2.0. Make sure you have proper exposure as underexposed shots will show more noises.

-

7D is a stop worse than 5D II.

-

When comparing noise you have to resize the 7D to 1D II size or compare it using sRAW or mRAW. You'll find 7D is less noisy than 1D II as other people have found out.

7D blows D300s out of the water...

7d blows D300 IQ out of the water easily...

What Luis said about the flash 430EX II is pretty nice.

"The 5DMKII will have superior image quality to the 7D at all ISO settings, especially for discriminating fine detail"
Maybe for shooting static object.
You want to compare 7D AF with 5D II AF for sports...which one will get more blurry shots ?. So in this case "The 5DMKII will have superior OOF image quality to the 7D at all ISO settings blah blah blah" LOL.
