First in a series I did called "Beach, Rocks & Water". From lake
Tyrifjorden, eastern Norway. Fall 2007.
(Weird stuff happens to my jpegs when they get uploaded to this site.
Never noticed this much artifacts on any other site I'm a member on.
Oh well. Any tips on how to avoid?)

Gorgeous light and a poetic shot indeed. Brilliant, perfect composition.

The sun sets after a turbulent day with strong winds and sporadic rain
showers up in the Jotunheimen National Park. Norway, July 2008. Any
comments are much appreciated.

The long, white beach of Uttakleiv takes the incoming waves. A storm
is building up from the Norwegian Sea.
Uttakleiv, Lofoten, Northern Norway 2008.

Amazing work Marc. The quality of your work has always been oustanding to me. Inspirational photography. You always manage to capture the greatest light in all of your work.
I might have preferred the peak reflection to be a little clearer, but on the other hand, I like what the long exposure did to the clouds here. Makes the image really intense and somewhat dramatic.

Thanks for looking. Any comments/critiques are welcomed.

Ah. Disregard my last comment about the alternate composition. Didn't see this one at first. I believe it works great, because you get in addition to a great foreground, a leading line that directs the eye towards the bright green/yellow foliage. Again though, perhaps a little more space at the bottom would have helped even more. Or a crop above the bottom-most rock.

Hello Daniel.
Your composition here is what drew me into looking at this full view. Especially the bright yellow foliage which stands out and keeps this photo worth looking at. The only thing I'm going to be "critical" about is the positioning of the boulder in your lower right. The composition would have been even better with a little more space to the right of it. That way, it would balance the composition.
Perhaps you could have done a vertically oriented image using the rocks in the bottom left as foreground? Just an idea.
I hope you understand my somewhat broken English. Have a great day/night!

Lovely light. I really like how low the camera stance is here, although I feel that perhaps the stance should have been a little higher up. I feel that the mountains in the background kind of disrupts the grass (and vice versa). A little more isolation would do this image good.

Fantastic work. Loving the light/shadow play right here. The curving shapes are just wonderful.
