Wayne, I just pictured it as you described - horizontal rather than vertical - and imagined walking out there - it's scary.

Great subject - the maple leaves in foreground, another window visible through the darkened building. I question the white balance because the paint looks blue/green and I'm guessing it's white. The bit of green leaf (?) on the top edge is a minor distraction. Maybe a bit more wall around the window and leaves would be nice. -
Who besides me finds this sort of photo interesting?

Nice location. The wall at right is a bit bland - not sure what it really is. I think a view from higher up, including the top of that wall, would be more nteresting.

Well if I applied standard criteria I'd say that the sky jumps out and overpowers the foreground; and the horizon line is at the vertical center, which reduces the impact.
Rules are made to be broken. It's a very nice photo in its own way.
