  1. Thanks Wayne. This was shot near Imperial Dunes in Southern California. Even though it looks serene, the wind was blowing at 45 mph and we were literally getting sand blasted. My daughter walked out onto the dunes and I shot a dozen frames or less before we had to run for the car, it was that intense. All worth it for me though, I love this picture :)
  2. Thanks guys! I was doing some portfolio shots for a model and we had intermittent rain that morning. As I was shooting I happened to see a plane fly overhead and it perfectly reflected in the puddle on the cement. It was gone in an instant and I didn't have time to catch it, but I decided to come back later and make this picture. Easier said than done...there were very few planes departing from the nearby airport due to the virus situation, and when they did depart I had only seconds to figure out where they would be in the frame, the right angle to the water, and whether the sun would be covered by clouds, which did not look good. It was a lot of trial and error. I worked on it for over two hours until all the elements finally came together.
  3. Thanks folks, appreciate the nice comments! Christopher, I make a point to not Photoshop my personal work unless there's something really distracting in the frame (just a personal guide rail for myself :) but yes, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have removed the small tree on the far left of the frame. Didn't bother me enough to do it though.
