  1. I loved the shot. I didn't even notice the frame until it was mentioned.
I have tried to shoot many scenes similar to this through asia. There is usually very little light and a lot more people and smoke.
All I could think was. What will I have with my beautiful fresh duck. I bet the seats were just to the left of shot.
Sometimes these guys are so shy they are not quite sure how to pose or smile.
It may be one of the cleanest street kitchens I have seen for a while.
    Keep taking true life shots

I got a similar shot when I visited the area. I found it better to give them perspective by adding in the water. This shows their actual location and difficulty in construction.

I am trying to see how some shots would look in B&W. How could I

improve on the structure of this shot. Taken through a shop window. My

reflection is in one of the knobs. It was also on the top of the handles so

I cut it down to a landscape view.

I love how the boat intersects the lighter colours and leaves an impression of those colours in its trail. What was your vantage point for this shot?

    LIFES REFLECTION

I took this photo because the man was asleep on the street in the open

with not a care in the world.I wondered if the people purchasing goods

inside the shop would be the same and view the man in the same

manner. Taken on a Sunday in Palermo Italy.

  2. I can't imagine what it would be like to try and do anything in weather and temperatures like this let alone stand in one spot to take several shots.
I live in Australia and most of my work is in the remote west of the country where the lowest temp is about 2 deg C and most of the time it's around 30-40+ deg. Clear, clear bright blue skies. Which also has its difficulties. Have viewed you portfolio and enjoyed.
    Well done

Nice to have other people share my pictures. Thanks for your comments.

    Hello again Pierre.

I'm slowly building my portfolio. Working in the middle of nowhere doesn't help. I need to go on more holidays to more countries.

I took this photo in Palermo italy when visiting. The house between this

and the next was being demolished. The spray on coating added colour

and texture to the pastal colours and textures already present.

    Thanks Jack.

    Background:

They clean the beaches in Australia overnight if possible. The red thingy is a danger flag to say the beach is unsafe at present to swim at. All the shots I will be putting on this site are not altered in any way.

I have marked you as person of interest as I like your "off the beaten track" eye.

    I am a photo.net virgin.

I am hooked on the images.

I realised after looking through you portfolio i have discarded so many of my images similar to yours assuming no one would be interested or know where I was coming from.

The title of the shot gives us an idea of what you were thinking at the time or a clever twist on image and title.

A lot of my shots are line based.

I have just evolved into the digital world over the last couple of yaers and am still learning.
