For example, I'm looking to get a pro-grade 70-200 lens, Canon has four (including the F4 L IS) but Nikon only has the F2.8 which is a lot bigger/heavier and more expensive. Another example, I want a fast, slightly wide prime -- Canon has the 35/F1.4 L but Nikon's 35/F1.4 is a manual focus. I think Nikon is lagging Canon in lens selection, and if you want a better/wider lens selection, Canon makes more sense.
