1.
I've been meaning to get back to this thread regarding my conversion kits, but I've been really busy finalizing the launch and patent details. You can check out my project at Kickstarter.com.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/742062977/jrs-vintage-lens-to-dlsr-camera-conversion-adapter-0

Cheers.

  2. I've been equally frustrated with the

very same issue. I think i've tried them

all. The existing adapters just don't cut

it as you must compromise on picture

    quality.

    I've solved the problem. I've

designed a FD to EF reversible

conversion plate. The kit will allow

Infiniti focus, full aperture control, plus

focus confirmation. The kit will be

available for most nFD Canon lens. Plus

it's non-distructive so you can convert it

back to its original nFD configuration..

The first kits will support lens from

17mm to 50mm nFD primes including

    the 24mm 1.4L.

I will have more detailed information in

the coming week. I will be posting updates

    at www.fdtoef.com

  4. I currently own a 30D and bought it to help me bridge from film to digital knowing that I would move to FF camera. I wanted my FF upgrade to be significant in terms of MP, dynamic range, and ISO from my 30D. My Canon A1 served me well despite the model updates over the years. I'm expecting the same from the 5DM2 I ordered and the quality of the pictures it will produce solely rests in my hands alone.

After years of shooting film. This cropping factor and image quality has confused me. Here's why. I don't shoot and then crop the result to the picture I want. I shoot the picture the way I want it to look from the beginning and try to limit any post process cropping. Right or wrong here is the way I see it. All things being equal a picture cropped when shot with a FF camera (5DM2) is going to yield a cleaner, clearer picture then if shot with a cropped camera (50D). My 2 cents from an old film guy.
