I am selling my first photograph this week as well....and still don't know what to charge, but man who wants to buy it doesn't care for price...he just wants to have it...printed and nicely framed...
I don't have a clue what to charge....I have few people having my photographs on their walls, but that was a gift....
This is going to be first one....

Lumix DMC-FX30 with Leica lens!
Quality and colours are great... Jaimee, I tried underwater Olympus in Half Moon Cay, and the quality of pictures was nice, I remember that short video clips were very good....For a while, I was selling digital point and shoot cameras, and somehow, from the choice that we had, Canon was always my number one....

Hi there!
I have D300, and 18-135mm lens.....it works good, no complain so far....but, I would still vote for 18-200mm.....I worked with them before, and there is a difference....so if you can choose, try 18-200mm...

hi there....
I am curious, did anyone work volunteer as photographer either in studio or events like a wedding?!
I know that my question will seem maybe strange, but I will try to explain....I am croatian citizen just moved in
England...I still do not have working visa, but I was thinking to volunteer in some of the studios or anything
like that to get at least some experience....what do you think about that...as a photographer, would you "hire"
someone like me for free in your studio?!
:))
and I am very nice:)))

hi there!
Is there anyone from Oxford? I just moved here, and I am looking for photo clubs or courses for photography....

Hi there..
How did you get your first exhibition?!
I am still beginner, but one day I would like to exhibit my work in a little gallery, or wherever.....
Thank you for your answer....

Few photographers that I worked with, and myself had failure of D70s....it was showing error on display, all of them were showing problem with blades....you couldn't do anything anymore....plus, some of them had shutter problem...I have to add that we were taking per day with them about 2000 frames...
Now I have D300, and so far, I am very pleased....

Eric, still you have to go on a crew drill:)))

hello everyone!
I was for 3 years photographer on a cruise ship, so I am just curious did anyone have similar experience?!

Hi!
First of all, I still don't have my favorite folder, but......there is one photo that really means something to me...and if I have to show my work to someone in one photo, this would be the one...it's not the greatest picture that you will see, maybe is not technically perfect, and so on....but emotionally I am really connected with this one...it may sound silly...but I took it at the time when I did not know much about photography, and when I took it, I said to myself, wow, this is good....so this is my first baby....

Hello!
I read some posts about portfolios, and I found good tips...but what I would like to know is how are you
organizing your portfolio? For example, you have nice shoots of people, landscapes, travel.....would you put
everything in one portfolio?!
Or would you have (if you are ready, of course), one with just portraits and people, one with landscapes.....
Is is bad if you have everything in one? In what is common size of the prints?! 6X8?!
tHANK you!!

I haven't been on Antartika, but I was for 3 seasons on Alaska, at the time when it was really cold...the only problem that I had was condensation....regarding batteries, keep them inside your jacket....I know some people who were on Antartika, they said it was really experience for them since they were all photographers...Penguins are there friendly and you can have some really nice shoots....enjoy and we are looking forward to see your photos!!

hehehe, ok, well I promise I will show you my results....but thank you for your advices...I just noticed that I would like to work more on people, and that I am shy...but I guess, with the time and practice it is going to be better....I now my homework now:)
-
thank you Ton and Mark...I guess, I just have to find my own way.....I checked videos on YouTube, check Bruce Gilden video....I was laughing like crazy....

I just posted ''shy in street photography'', but I think that maybe right term would be ''afraid''...I worked for a few years on a cruise ships as a photographer...people sometimes had really aggressive attitude towards photographers and that was the time when I first asked myself what is going on....I had some similar situations...I have feeling that I have to be very carefully with photography on public places....I am not saying that it is case everywhere, but let's say that I know what are you talking about....:))

hello..
I like street photography....and take pictures of people sitting on the street, doing whatever they do...but I am
shy to come in front of them...I do not know how would they respond...I am sure if I could get over that, I would
improve a lot...anyone have the same problem?
Thx.
