There are certainly a number of ways it could be cropped. I have just purchased my XSi, replacing my EOS 750 film body, which unfortunately never really seen a lot of use. I am just learning to shoot in semi-manual/manual modes. Learning about exposure is an adventure. I have picked up a copy of Understanding Exposure - revised edition, by Bryan Peterson. Not very many words for the information it conveys! Thanks again for critique.
