Thank you all for such fantastic responses.

The 18-35 looks like the perfect choice for "best bang for buck". Cheers!

Is there any 18, 17, 16, 15, 14mm... etc primes?

Thanks tommy, but hoping for under 24mm because I have 24mm on my 24-70.

Hi Everyone!

I am looking for a sub 24mm for shooting real estate (indoors), small spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms etc.

I have a D700, 24-70, 50 1.4, 70-300VR, SB900. My 24-70 is attached 95% of the time.

I don't want to go all-out and buy the 14-24mm because I cannot justify the cost when I won't be using it that often. Also, a small prime will be easy to add to my already busy lowepro backpack.

Thank you all in advance!

I went from a D90 to a D700 in a steep six months learning curve. I still love my D90 because its easy to carrying and shoots amazing photos for the everyday family. The D700 is my "rolls-royce" when the family gets dressed up - or I go to functions (esp. at night).
The D700 is much more sophisticated and is better in almost every aspect than a D90. The D700 is for serious photography and needs much more knowledge and experience to get the most out if it.
Nikon markets the FX as top-shelf camera equipment. New imaging technology is being introduced to FX first and then pass down.

DX used to be Nikon's flagship format and is now more reachable cost wise. Just think how the D90 is streets ahead of the older pro D2X.

If you can afford it and really want to spend lots of time with your camera - go for FX. Otherwise get DX - you will NOT be dissapointed with DX! It's just as amazing if you shoot it right. I have shot some amazing stuff with my D90 - I sometimes wonder if I need to grab the D700 apart from really important events.

I had the D90 for six months and upgraded to the D700 because the D90 was just too small to hold for long periods with heavier lenses. The D700 has same body layout as D300. I chose D700 becuase have FX lenses (50 f1.4 & 24-70 f/2.8).
You ONLY need to consider this blog link: (what nikon d90 owners are missing out)
