1.
I have a problem sorting by date created (or any date for that matter) in Bridge CS5. The shots are from the same shoot but are coming from 2 cameras, d700 & d7000, that have their time synch'd. Bridge is sorting them chronologically but in two groups, one group for each camera. It sorts this way every time. I've tried everything to TRUELY sort by date created but Bridge insists on keeping the files sorted by date but in two different groups.
I know this question has been asked before but there was no solution given. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 2.
We're relocating to Texas but plan to continue our work in the Philadelphia area. We'll be shooting up here ourselves but also want to book for "associate" photographers.
I'm interested in possibly taking on an above average, outgoing photographer. It would be preferable if you don't have your own wedding photography business. You MUST have good equipment. 5d mark II, D700, these would be ideal. D7000 and 7D acceptable. Good glass of course. Off camera flash is also a must for receptions (to match what we currently do).
You would have to be ok with booking for a wedding about 1 yr in advance. We will give the photographer the ability to use their images but we'd also use them on our website/blog as well.
If you're interested head on over to our site to see what we do. www.m2-photography.net
We really only want one associate and a couple second shooters as well.
Thanks!

 3.
David,

You seem to have the right idea here. It doesn't hurt to find photographers whose work you like and ask them if they need help. We're actually looking to have second shooter help for next year. Feel free to shoot us an email. You can check out our site here - www.m2-photography.net.

 4.
I'm relocating my business from PA to TX and am trying to find out when the wedding season is in Houston. Any Houston wedding photographers out there that can tell me what months you book the most and least?
Why is this important? Because we still going to shoot up here in the north east. I want to know which months up here to focus on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Michael.

 5.
So I've just returned from a trip to Texas and currently live in Pennsylvania. After being there several times my wife and I have been talking about moving there. One of my concerns is our wedding photography business. Have you or anyone you know moved to another state and have your business maintain is current conditions?
Since weddings are booked ahead I figured we could just start advertising down there and plan to make the move in a year or so. We also have friends down there so I'm sure we'd be able to get some work word of mouth as well.
I believe we'll always get work up here so we'll have that in addition to the work down there. The benefit there is that we will be able to visit family and friends. We have children too which is why this is also a good thing.
I've done some research and there are photographers in the area we'd move to that are around the same price point and have good work so I'm confident that there is a market for us there. It'll be just outside of Houston. Oh and we only try to shoot 30-35 weddings a year so we don't have a huge goal to reach per year.
My main concern is how to go about making the transition down there. Ideas on what might work and what I should avoid.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

 6.
I understand what you're saying Mikael. I think my hesitation is that I'm not an architectural photographer. This client knows that but still wants me to shoot this based on my other work. That being said I know I won't get the job if I charge what I'm supposed to.
The shooting would take maybe 4 hours based on the info I have. I'd be satisfied with asking $500.
We'll see. Thanks for the feedback.

 7.
I've been asked to photograph 4 condos that make up a single building. The condos are rentals. The photos will be used for a portfolio and website. What would you suggest I charge for this? This will be my first time shooting architecture and any guidance would be appreciated.

 8.
My studio is carpeted (i know..) and I need to be able to shoot full length with the backdrop pulled over the carpet. Is the best solution to put wood underneath with a sheet of plexi on top of the paper? Do you know if the plexi will interfere with the light? Is there another material I could use?

 9.
In my home studio we have carpet. I have a paper backdrop and if I roll it out all the way on the floor and step on it it will rip. Do you have suggestions for me so that I can have models step on it without ripping? I thought maybe plexiglass might work but don't know.
Thanks!

 10.
So, I have looked on here for infromation as well as on the web and I am still fairly confused. I am no expert when it comes to flash triggers so I thought I might get help from some of you.
I have a d90 and a d300 with 2 sb900s. We shoot weddings and are hoping to use a wireless set up with our flashes. It would be ideal for us to set up the sb900s on light stands or wherever in the reception.
First question. Is it possible for me to use both cameras to control both flashes with a trigger? If not, what would my abilities be?
Second question. What are my options for doing this?
Thank you in advance for all your help.

 11.
Just expand your network on FB and keep your "friends" updated on whats going on while posting new work as well. In our business we've booked about 10 weddings in less than a year of time. It's not worth putting money into it. The other option I'd suggest is theknot.com. I've heard many negative thing but we've had great sucess. We don't even have their "best" option. And were in the Philly market which is flooded with photographers.
Just my thought. Good luck!

 12.
I post a preview slideshow set to music usually the very next day. This gets an awesome response! I also use event cards with information for seeing the images from the wedding in addition to the preview slideshow. This drives a ton of traffic to our site. I think its a great idea to do. If you are friends with your clients on Facebook you can even post the slideshow their and tag them which gets great response as well!

 13.
I use moo.com to get our event cards printed for weddings. There is an issue with their software and I cannot use them now and I need another option.
Does anyone know of a company that can make small cards with an image on the front and text on the back?

The card size I currrently use is:

Width 28 mm
Height 70 mm

 14.
I've been trying to think of some unique ways to deliver a dvd(s) to my clients when I'm finished. Most of my clients will get a DVD with the hi rez images on it and I feel like there is a better way to package the whole thing.

I currently custom design the DVD case with their images. I usually like to get them the DVD before the album is done so they have something.
What do you do? Hear of any unique ideas for packaging the product and delivery?

 15.
You are correct. In useable lenses that is. I have the standard lenses that came with my d90 & fuji S3 but they wont really cut it. I thought of getting the 85mm 1.8 and using the 18-105 3.5 VR lens for the reception because I can use flash there and it will then be usable.
Thoughts on that? I am able to deal with less to make things work..i used to only have a 28-80 standard zoom that came with my nikon n80(film) my first camera I bought in 2000.

MM

 16.
As you can see by the title I'm torn between getting both lenses. I would easily go for the 85mm but because I need one of the two for a primary lens, I can't figure it out. Can the 85mm be used for most of a wedding? My 2nd shooter will have a wide zoom that can cover the wider shots.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
