Hi, I just reciently bought a 500cm with a 80mmT* lens, after buying

a light meter I am quite broke! I'd like to do some head portraits

without the unflatering distortion of the 80mm lens, would a 2x

telecoverter do the job? what kind of quality loss will there be?

what wouldn't I have that a true 160mm lens would have?? Thanks.

Well, I took my camera to a very good rollei tech, and he said the lens was seperating...something he could fix..but he advised against such a procedure...and suggest I try and get a refund...which I'm going to try and do. I'll post again with my results....I'm having some strong second thoughts about buying on ebay.....

Hi, Well my rolleiflex 2.8e arivied today( I got it off ebay, for

$350) other than being cosmetically beat up(this doesn't bother me)

there seems to be dark spots around the very edge of the taking lens,

kind of like a shadow...is this fungus? and did i pay to much for a

beat up camera??????ack...

Hi, I was wondering do i need to buy the special rollei lens hood for

my rolleiflex 2.8e? Can I get a generic rubber one? Or does someone

know someone selling them at reasonible prices....they seem to be

going for 50 bucks on ebay..same with the lens cap. Thanks

Thanks for all the great responses! I do have a further question, what exactly does CLA stand for? I get the general idea that it is a some sort of general servicing of the camera...Cleaning Lube Alignment????...Thanks again..BTW anyone know where I can get a cheap lens cap? doesn't have to be the chrome rollei one...a black plastic one would do the job fine....

Hey, I just took the jump! A new MF user (the holgas don't count..) I

justed used trusty old e-bay and picked up a 2.8e for $350 ( good

deal?) I haven't recieved it yet, but i'm on the post auction high

(being a student buying a camera is BIG investment!) the self timer

doesn't work...how much does this cost to fix? is it a sign of future

problems? I can live without it..but I hope it doesn't leed to other

problems...people have said the old rollei's aren't the best for

colour work...how would it compare to a bronica or other medium

format cameras? thanks alot...
