<p>There is absolutely nothing mediocre about the EM, this is just pure camera snobbery. If you want to go manual with it, use the ASA dial. Polycarbonate top and bottom plates with a copper/aluminium alloy chassis ala F3.</p>

<p>At the end of the day it's just a light tight box and if it gives someone an introduction to the beauty of film for under $30 then that has to be a good thing.</p>

<p>They are all just tools ! I regularly still use my E-1; a 5 MPix camera (for the pixel peepers out there). I get great results, because I KNOW it's limitations. I am still able to generate pics that sell with the E-1, even though I also use an E-3.<br>

The one thing I have never done is blame the gear for my lack of imagination or creativity (something that I hear week in and week out). Having to rely on the latter, only improves my photography and the way I interpret the brief.</p>
