Focusing with my Canon G6 in Beginner Questions Posted September 20, 2008 I've been using the automatic (point and shoot) mode on my Canon G6 for a long time but am unhappy with what part of the image the camera decides to focus on. Often the main subject is blurry but something on the sides or background is perfectly clear. Just today I realized every time the camera turns off, the focus goes back to it's '9-point' auto select focus instead of 'center' focus to which I set it. Is it suppose to do that? Also I'd like to use my camera's programable modes (shutter or aperture priority shooting) to capture RAW images. Can I tell the camera what to focus on? I don't understand the manual. Holding the shutter button down half-way and repositioning the camera doesn't work either.
