I second the Phototrekker AW. It'll swallow your RZ and 35mm and a whole bunch of lenses, and it'll securely hold even large tripods. I dragged it all over Iceland last summer, and it seems really solid. It also has plenty of sliplock points for attaching more carrying bags. You need a strong back if you plan on filling it up, though, as it gets really heavy.

How so? All the photogropher needs to do is to get the Pro IID body, and all the rest will still work. Or he/she can get one of the many alternative digital backs that actually fit the older bodies.

They requested a scan of my credit card & passport too. Once that was done, they shipped my stuff quickly. I'm in Norway, by the way. They just wanna cover their asses, I guess. It's just an inconvenience, and it hasn't put me off dealing with them again.

As far as I can understand, it's not possible to use the Mamiya digital backs with the regular Pro II. It is, however, possible to use other digital backs on the Pro II, even the new Hasselblad backs. One can only assume Mamiya figured they'd make more money by neglecting to produce an adapter, thereby forcing people to upgrade to the Pro IID.

Well, if you're on a really really tight budget, there's always Holga or Diana. I mean, the mechanical and optical quality might not be on par with the more serious products, but they sure have character... :)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that you're talking about the electronic shutter release cable. To use mirror lock up, you need one of those good old mechanical cable releases screwed into the shutter socket on your lens. The electronic cable might be used for tripping the mirror, but you need the mechanical release to trip the shutter.
Mamiya sells a double release cable for mirror lock up use (essentially two cables tied together, one for the body and one for the lens), but any old release cable screwed into the shutter socket on the lens, combined with just pressing the release button on the body, should work just fine.

Another pretty obvious reason for the incompatibility is the fact that the RZ67 has bellows focusing on the body and the 7 II has lens focusing.

Not that I'm a Hasselblad expert, or anything, but it seems to me that the biggest hurdle would be that the Canon system uses a focal plane shutter, while the Hassy needs lens shutter.
Even if you could fit the Canon lens to the Hasseblad house, you wouldn't be able to do anything useful with it, since there's no shutter.
