I have to say that I give what Javier is saying a lot of weight, chiefly because I have followed his gripe for a very long time and share it.
I'll have to watch this a little closer. A K20D may be in my future (again) if this is true.
Sadly, the upgrade on the K10D does not seem really to have done the same thing. I shot two ball games this past weekend for a total of about 800 shots. I noticed no difference whatsoever either in compensation required or auto-focus.
If that little extra twitch (tick...) (sometimes tick.. tick...tick) at the end of focus cycle is the extra check that folks think might have been removed, I can confirm my K10D still has it.

Lowepro Off Trail (I). Will just hold a K10D with the 55-300mm, and will easily hold the 18-55mm and 55-300mm in the side pouches. Will be a very nice fit for your K-x kit and some additional lenses and/or accessories. i actually use one of the side pouches for my battery grip.
make sure you get the one (1) model. The Two (2) is quite large and perhaps a little too much so.

+ 3 that it is probably a "J."
As someone who has a lot of early Pentax, this is comfortable for me. I went out of my way to get one for my "F" after viewing/seeing one in a store. I think it is actually a little finer than the Pentax version. It really is quite a nice screen.

Frozen corn stalk. This is probably not my best, but it is one of my favorites.

I have some early Pentax SLRs. 1957-1960 mostly. I'd like to know who, if anyone, specializes in these cameras and can provide very good restoration services. All are cosmetically very fine, but the repairs go beyond CLA. Thanks in advance.

You are not deaf. Try it in portrait orientation. You may hear it.
My K10D did this from day one. When I sent it in for my under warranty tune up they said it was withing tolerances. Honestly I cannot hear it unless it's in portrait orientation.
My second K10D beeped fine, as does my K20D. Some of them are like this. Frankly I do not miss it. So much so that I set my good ones to off. No-one has to hear me beeping away every time I grab focus.

One word... ZING

See what I am talking about here. There are many models. Very much the modern analog to the old ever-ready case.

>> Thank you for contacting us about the L-plate and I am glad to hear you are enjoying it.
Same issue with the EM-5. The REAl issue is that when the camera is turned on its side to USE the dovetail in portrait mode, the cable will foul the plate and will not allow secure attachment to the tripod.
