This was taken just as the fog lifted. Several minutes earlier the tree in the foreground wasn't visible from where this was taken. I had my eye on this field all week, but saved it for the weekend, and driving in fog wasn't going to change my plan.
Although I am very happy with this, I am concerned that it may not be at its best on other displays--or on mine. For example, when my monitor is viewed properly, the trees on the horizon are nice. But, when the monitor is tilted back, the layers of those trees and their color starts to emerge. So, did the full range of this scene get captured and my display is off, or is my display accurate and I'm just seeing things?
Thanks for the help and advice,
Alan

I like the composition and tones, but don't think it is sharp enough in the upper portion of the grip. Otherwise it is very intriguing.
Here's looking at you.

The image is far too small to assess your lens.
Regarding Nikon versus Tamron: I used a Tamron 28-200mm in the late 1990's and was disappointed with it at most focal lengths and apertures. While I do have a 35-105mm that just doesn't meet Nikon's usual standards when at 35mm.
So, I am prejudice against Tamron because %100 of their lenses that I have used failed to perform, but only one of the MANY Nikon lenses I've used failed to EXCEL. But who knows...my Tamron could have just been a lemon.
