<p>Robin, why do you spread this "Pentax cameras got bigger and more expensive" idea?<br>
The K-r might be a little bit bigger than the K-x by a minute amount.<br>
The K-5 is rumoured to to use the K-7 body dimensions.<br>
Regarding prices: It remains to be seen how the street prices will pan out. Heck, we don't even know the official K-5 price yet.<br>
Not sure what this "bigger & more expensive" business is about.</p>

<p>Joseph, thanks a lot for your very interesting posts. I learned from them.<br>
I'd really like to see some images from the Sigma 85/1.4.<br>
I could imagine they've created a very fine lens, but I'm not a 100% confident they managed it.</p>

<p>If you have an issue with your Adaptall PK/A adapter (e.g., you need to twist it slightly to make it work), try the fix as described here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-lens-articles/50689-fixing-tamron-adaptall-p-ka-adapter.html<br>
Hope it helps, it worked for me.</p>

According to this page http://www.bythom.com/cleaning.htm
some cameras have an exposed Indium Tin Oxide coating, the Nikon D70 being one of them.
This is probably what comes off when cleaning with methanol.
The other chips without a coating should be safe to clean with methanol.

Hi,
my K100D (firmware V1.02) works fine with Remote Assistant 1.0.
Initially, I had the problem that the transferred pictures (RAW) were corrupted (preview was OK, but the real data only resembled the picture content), but I figured out that I had to set the picture format to RAW in the camera. Now it works like cream.
Does anyone know whether Pentax published the API? There is no end to the nice applications one could develop and thus raise the value of the equipment without Pentax having to invest a single cent.
Cheers,
Thomas

<p>@Miserere Mei: Which camera is better for street photography than the K-7 (or K-5)?<br>
For a street shooter, (small) size and weather-sealing is everything. I have no idea what better camera you are thinking of.</p>
<p>@Robin: The K-5 should be your K-x with two dials. I expect it to have a fair price.</p>
