Definitely the second one.

Beautiful pics, fully demonstrate that it is the photographer and not the equipment that counts.
Lovely!

HI Shawn
I had much the same problem. Due to an accident in my childhood (I was seven) I cannot see with my left eye. I have only one working eye, the right one. I few years ago I went for a retina check. The doc said get a laser done ASAP otherwise you may get a retina detachment. I put it off for a couple of years, luckily for me the condition did not worsen. I finally got the laser done, was a bit painful, the laser part. Lesson learned, never put off any thing, especially regarding health. More so in my case as I have only one working eye. I go for an annual check up without fail. Next check up due next month.
Wish you all the best

Hi
Welcome to the A2 club! I too acquired one recently and am learning how to use it. After using a 500N this is a totally different beast!

Hi
I just got a used A2. Amazing camera. I agree with Cian slides are just too good. They are almost like revisiting the scene all over again.

Hi
Thanks a lot guys. Have decided to get a A2.

Same dilemma! I was thinking, what about getting the 50mm 1.8 and using extenders to use it for macro work?
-
Hi Andrew
Dont have the budget for a used EOS 3 :-(
What about a used EOS 1N, seen them being sold for around $300?

Hi Paul
I use either Shutter priority mode most of the time and then use exposure compensation if the scened demands it. So yes I do use Exposure compensation. If shooting Landscape I use complete manual mode and compensate for exposure.
Yakim, yes I am getting a 50mm f1.8.
Thanks

Hi
I have a EOS 500n which works wonderfully. I want to add a second
body. Since the Digital boom secondhand EOS bodies are pretty widely
available. I have narrowed down three bodies.
a) Secondhand Elan II/IIe
b) Secondhand A2
c) New Rebel T2
I mostly take pics of family and the places we visit. I am mostly
interested in Street photography, Travel, Portraits, documentary. I do
not take too many pictures with Flash.
I would really like some help in deciding.
Thanks in advance

Hi
Seems to be David Allen Harvey week on National Geographic in India. Just saw the program again. No, Tom he does not use off camera flash. I think the established photographers break all the rules.

Hi
Coincidentally I saw the program on David Allen Harvey this morning on National Geographic. He was using a Leica with flash. With your Canon you can use fill flash. Shutter speed should obviously be flash sync speed or lower. I do not know anything about your specific Flash gun. Hope this helps.

Hi
I have the said lens and I must say I was happy with the results when I used it on a film camera. I am not as happy with it on the 400D wide open. Have yet to give it a full test. I generally use the nifty fifty on the 400D.
