I think this image is amazing to start off. It tells a story about hardship i believe as i look at the barren landscape. It also tells a story of survival and how much hardship that these people have to put up with. It is also strange how the man on the ledge is sitting there it almost seems as though he is out of place. The B&W is a good color to emphasize the feeling of this picture. the only question i have is if it was taken in B&W or was it duplicated in B&W. Over all it is a very impressing image.

The first thing that I was drawn to was the little girls eyes. I believe that a persons eyes really tell the story. As you can clearly see in this photo there is no evidence of a set up or preparation. Now don't get me wrong prepared shots are also great but something about a shot like this screens to the viewer "hey look this is me" if anyone understands what I'm saying when i say that. But I really do enjoy this photo.
