<p>Glenn ...<br />I know it's hard to be honest, but nice at the same time ... especially based on what you see as glaringly obvious faults .. but they seem to like what was produced ...<br />So you have to be diplomatic ..</p>

<li>"I would not have captured it that way" ... </li>

<li>"That's not quite my style"</li>

<li>"This is a unique perspective"</li>

<p>Focus on how happy they are in the picture ... How much of a wonderful event it was ...<br />If they ask for input on picking a picture, then look for the "best one to frame" because it's most balanced of the set ... and use your expertise that way ...<br />Accentuate the positive .. As my friends, "as long as you are happy" ... "no photograph could truly capture the emotion of such an event" ...</p>

Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with the family. We went to the a botanical garden, where my wife noticed this strange. yet absolutely beautiful species of flower. This little beauty was dangling from a huge tree, and we had to climb up the roots maybe about two feet to take the picture, as the wind blew. <br>

The name, well, hopefully a botanist amongst us can identify it for us ...<br>

For the photographers, the equipment/settings are: ... Canon Rebel XT (350D) .. Lens: Canon 28-90 ... Focal Length 38mm .. F 5.6 .. ISO 400 @ 1/60 Sec. ...<br>

<p>My first contribution is a picture from my wife's garden.<br />Some lantanas (at least, that's what I think they are called) "hanging out" of a basket.<br>

Canon Rebel XT, F/5.6, 1/60 sec. Lens Canon 18-55mm @ 55mm.</p><div></div>

<p>Here are a few ideas .. hope they help ...</p>

<ul>

<li>the epaulettes & hat in front of a symbol for their wearer, eg a Ship's captain would be in front of the wheel for a ship .. or maybe on the stern of a boat/yacht ... a picture of an aircraft in flight, with a Captain's hat and apaulettes ...</li>

<li>A nurses hat, injection needle, medicine cup</li>

<li>A doctor's stethescope, BP machine on a white coat ... </li>

<li>a graduates gown with hat and tassle on a stack of books on a desk, or infront of a library</li>

<li>a mechanics wrench, a rag atop a car engine ... </li>

<li>a bucket of water, some sponge, a tin of car wax atop a shiny sports car .. </li>

<li>A builders square, a trowel, a line cord atop a brick wall </li>

<li>an empty bus, a bus ticket at a bus station to signify a bus driver or conductor .. </li>

<li>A half full bag of leaves , a rake, a litter pick on a grass probably beneath a tree or in front of a wel manicured garden, if there is a tractor in the background - great for a landscaper</li>
