  1. Thanks Larry - that is very close to the image from the camera.  I usually don't play with photo colours but this time I just did it for a bit of fun.  The 12 mm Voigtlander lens works very well on the Leica M as you can use the rangefinder to focus and the EVF to frame.  The EVF also allows you to ensure that you have no flare - I positioned the trees in this image.  I actually live just down the road from moraine lake but generally just go there to climb in summer and confine my shooting to the ends of the season when it is much quieter.

Combination of the two handheld (but on the stone brige) and noise.  That said it also seems to be something to do with the save as feature in photoshop.  The full size .psd file is quite a lot sharper than the reduced size file.  Usually the difference is not that great but in this case it seems greater than usual. I suspect it may be due to the way cS5 has compressed the shadow noise.

Thanks - the Canon 5DII has pretty good dynamic range - still not bad at ISO 1600. All I did was lighten the shadows a little using fill in ACR

  2. I actually did no post processing . I took three shots at slightly different exposure settings and liked this one the best. The hi lights in the big window are slightly blown.  I did debate removing the guy bottom left but decided to leave him.  Thanks for you comment

  3. Great image - it shows what great images you can still make with film cameras. I suspect that you shot this with Velvia 100 - one of my favourite films.  The scale of the image is impressive and I am jealous of your 617. The best I can manage is to shift left then right with my Fuji GX680s and join the two images digitally. While I can get wider angles the effective negative is only about 6x12-14.

All the best and keep shooting these great film bodies.
