I picked up on this picture immediately as well as a prior commenter.... are you an optometrist or ophthalmologist? I am an optometrist and am also interested in photography. I haven't submitted much here but have been playing with my NIKON D300 since I purchased it this past Aug. I really liked your portfolio. You have some wonderful images. Good luck in all you do, and I hope that you continue with your photography as you are quite talented.

I agree I also like this photo of an ELK. Didn't like the fact that the title was misleading.

This photo really works for me. I think the horizontal frame is the best way to go. I like the title, the colors, the sharpness, I really like this image. I think the color sundown, the one of the gerber with white background, and this image are my favorites of your flowers. The cropping here creates an interesting composition that is unique and better than other images

I like both the bw version and this one. I like this one better. I love, love love the lighting and the brightness of the colors. After reading the critique about the cropping. I can't say I agree, I like it just this way. I've got to figure out how you do this cause I want to have this quality of image too!!

I really like this composition. Seems just a little cluttered at times but then really nice to have all those elements in there like the bridge and various boats. I like the foreground elements, if anything I would try to elimnate the things up on the pier.

I like this image very much. I think it is the different colors you were able to bring into the same frame, as well as the silky water effect. Also the way the back seems to be in the shadows and the front hit with light.

I really enjoy this photo. I think its the wonderful composition and the low contrast colors, it pulls my eye to the front sailboat and then back to the misty edges of the water. Thank you for this piece.
